Hi, I'm Lucy
Founder of Shared Truth
Neuroplastic Pain Specialist

My Journey with Chronic Pain
I know first-hand how much chronic pain and persistent symptoms can affect your life.
For 12 years, I experienced chronic symptoms including M.E./CFS, relentless headaches and chronic pelvic pain. There were years of searching for answers, trying to make sense of what was happening, and navigating symptoms that could feel all-consuming.
At times, I felt isolated and without a community that truly understood what I was experiencing.
It was through discovering neuroplastic pain and the impact of suppressed emotions, alongside mind-body approaches, that I began to experience change. I learnt about the role of the brain and nervous system in relation to pain, and how symptoms can be influenced by patterns of protection, emotions and nervous system responses.
That understanding changed the way I related to my symptoms and ultimately changed the direction of my life.

That's where Shared Truth began.
My own experience showed me how powerful it can be to feel truly seen, understood and supported.
I discovered that recovery isn't simply about learning to manage symptoms. It was about developing a different relationship with my body, understanding more about the messages behind my symptoms, and beginning to believe that change was possible.
I created Shared Truth to offer the kind of space I had needed myself. Somewhere women can speak honestly about their experiences, feel less alone, and explore what may be possible when it comes to meaningful change, symptom reduction and recovery.

A Personal Approach.
Grounded in current pain science
As a Neuroplastic Pain Specialist and Chronic Pain Coach, my work is grounded in current pain science and our understanding of how the brain and nervous system process pain.
Combining a neuroplastic, body-led and holistic approach, I draw upon Pain Reprocessing Therapy, Emotional Awareness and Expression Therapy, IFS-Informed Parts work, nervous system regulation, somatic practices and mindfulness.
My approach is non-clinical, compassionate and client-centred. I walk alongside you as you develop a deeper understanding of your symptoms, reconnect with your body, and explore what may be possible for you.

What I believe.
I believe understanding can create possibility.
I believe that learning how pain works can change the way we relate to our symptoms.
I believe symptoms are more than something to be fixed or feared, and that emotions, experiences and nervous system responses can all be part of the picture.
I believe recovery is personal. There is no single path, and you don't have to navigate it alone.
There is space for hope, possibility and change.
